R & D initiatives
We continue to provide unique products such as industrial hand-washing pioneer “Aloe Royal”, microcapsule “Godball” and highly viscous mold remover “Kabitori Ippatsu”. We believe that the experience, technology, and ability to give up in the process are also our assets, leading to added value for our customers.
Based on the belief that “creating a new future from us” through creative research and development, we will continue to strengthen our research and development capabilities.
Intellectual property concept
Intellectual property management
“Intellectual property rights such as patent rights (including domestic and overseas) acquired for technologies that are the result of research and development are important management resources.
With the globalization of economic activities, we believe that the protection of intellectual property in SMEs is important.
At Suzuki Yushi, we are encouraged by public and corporate organizations through corporate efforts that are not slackened in improving development technology.”

Hand washing detergent development secret story Staff: Nakamura
“A mysterious detergent that is almost invisible to the general public is our main product.
I first touched this detergent nearly 50 years ago, and after graduating from junior high school, I worked part-time at a pump manufacturer. My job was to cut and drill holes in the pump frame made from molds. Since the work was done with cutting oil, my hands were always full of oil. During the lunch break, I wash my hands and eat, but a moist yellow powder was placed on the tray and placed in the hand washing area. I picked it up, rubbed it well, and then washed it with water, and my oily hand was brilliantly clean. I was impressed that there was such a wonderful detergent in the world.
Ten years later, I decided to work for a company that produces this detergent.”
Background to development
You will be very rare, but I think that the oil on your hands may be washed with soap. It does not fall easily. I think that you have had the experience of applying and washing soap many times, washing it off, washing it off, and finally falling. Perhaps I saw this sight at the factory when this detergent was not available. The reason I dare to wash this hand is a detergent because it is different from ordinary soap and roots. The roots of this detergent are not really things that wash your hands, but detergents that wash machines and parts. Since it is a detergent that cleans a machine that is soiled with oil, naturally the oil stains are well removed. Wash your machine and finally your hands. I think it was natural.
Development of industrial cream detergent
However, since the hands are washed with detergent that cleans the machine, the hands are naturally rough, and the cracks with black spots are like a working man’s medal. The yellow powder that I first met was a piece of sawdust that was filled with detergent. Over time, instead of stone powder (perlite), which is harder and soaked with detergent, this hand-washing detergent has made its way into the world. At the time I joined the company, this detergent was mainstream, but we had a revolutionary product called “Erg”. A real cream detergent that emulsifies oil and water. I heard that American hand-washing detergent at the time was improved to match the Japanese market.

Future of hand washing detergent
At present, most hand-washing detergents for business use are cosmetics that are developed mainly for washing hands, and are gentle on the hands. There may have been the needs of the users, but there is no doubt that the dirt itself has changed from the past. If this trend continues to advance, will the commercial hand-washing detergent itself disappear in the future? The main purpose of old hand washing was to remove dirt on the hands. The main purpose of today’s hand washing is to remove bacteria and viruses on the hands. Rather than removing the oil from your hands before eating, you wash your hands to prevent bacteria and viruses from entering your body through your mouth. As a company, hand-washing detergents that were placed to maintain the aesthetics of workers in factories and workplaces are required not only for factories but also for the maintenance of the health and work environment of all employees, including offices and warehouses. The era is already there. By the way, we have Royal Ace and Office Soap for hand washing with this bactericidal effect.

Secret story of the development of the “Godball” microcapsule Staff:Ueda
The inorganic hollow porous fine particle “God Ball” is manufactured using our emulsification and solubilization technology that we have cultivated over many years based on the “interface reaction method” developed by Kansai Center, an independent administrative agency and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. Can be manufactured with high sphericity of about 1 to 100 μm porous silica particles and particles with sharp particle size distribution using “membrane emulsification technology”. In addition, “God Ball” has excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, and its particle diameter and specific surface area can be adjusted, so it can be flexibly adapted to various applications and needs. It has the function of loading solids, pigments, fragrances, chemicals, etc., which are the features of porous silica particles, and has been applied to various industries for sustained release and adsorption effects.
Background of the birth of microcapsules
“Inorganic microcapsules were developed by Prof. Yoshiko Nakahara at the time of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Institute of Industrial Science, Osaka Industrial Laboratory. Our researcher went to the laboratory of Prof. Nakahara for training during his school days.
At the beginning of the Showa 50s, microcapsules existed with polymers (organic substances) as wall materials, but microcapsules with inorganic materials as wall materials were a remarkable new material with a sustained release function for agricultural chemicals and antibacterial agents. was.
At that time, President Keisuke Suzuki (current counselor) was exploring the next new business to replace our main detergent, and the inorganic microcapsule arrived. Because of the connection between the researcher and Prof. Nakahara, we decided to industrialize it.”
Technical difficulty
I decided to work on industrialization, but it was a series of difficulties. The materials that could be used for small-scale synthesis in the laboratory were unsuitable for mass production and began with the search for alternative materials. A total of 100 experiments were repeated to arrive at a formulation suitable for industrialization. Subsequent selection and start-up of various production equipment for mass production was a daily search, but in 1987, the production plant was completed. However, the construction of the new plant was a huge investment based on the scale of sales at that time.
Even today’s leading products, popular tips
“Although it was a microcapsule business that was launched with such efforts and costs, it was unable to demonstrate the performance to meet the needs of the time, and the manufacturing plant continued to be closed. However, the business partner (a cosmetic powder processing manufacturer) who had exchanges since the development of the capsule felt the potential of the material, and thanks to the persistent introduction to the cosmetics industry, it was gradually sold several years later. The quantity has increased, and is now delivered mainly to major cosmetic manufacturers in Japan and overseas as a cosmetic feel improver.
Since then, similar materials have been put on the market, but the smooth touch that comes from our unique manufacturing method is suitable for cosmetics applications, and that our business partners introduced us to the cosmetics industry quickly. It is the cornerstone of the current microcapsule business.”
